Karen Amanda Odens

Karen Amanda Odens (Welke) was born on February 28th, 1979 to Edward and Marilyn Welke in Detroit Lakes, MN. She attended Rossman Elementary School and graduated from Detroit Lakes Senior High School in 1997. She was confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Eric Odens on May 25th, 2007. The marriage was blessed with two children, Sophia and Oliver. She was an excellent student and attended North Dakota State University to earn a PharmD and worked for over ten years at Pelican Drug as a Pharmacist before taking a leave due to health concerns. She enjoyed helping other people and gardening, spending time with family and friends and fishing. Karen is survived by her spouse, Eric Odens, her son, Oliver, her parents, Edward (Vicki) Welke, Marilyn (Harvey) Gray, sister, Laura Welke, and numerous loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents T.E. and Florence (Tootsie) Welke, Lester and Lillian Hanson and daughter, Sophia, in 2014.
