Elizabeth Boelter age 96 of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, formerly of McClusky, North Dakota passed away on August 15, 2009. She was known as Lee. It could be said that "Lee outlived them all", since she was preceded by her husband, Henry and nine siblings. Lee was born on September 14, 1912 in McClusky, North Dakota to Dan and Elizabeth Gerhing Mayer. She grew up and received her education there. She married Hank and they moved from McClusky to Jamestown, North Dakota and then to Florida. They later moved back to McClusky, where Lee worked for 30 years in the McClusky Bank. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in McClusky. After retiring, Lee wintered in Arizona. She spent her final years in West Fargo and then Detroit Lakes. Lee was an expert bridge player, loved traveling, and was considered by many to be the best cook in North Dakota. Her generous heart and adventurous spirit lives on in her son Gerald (Bertha) Boelter, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, five granddaughters; Holly (Mitch) Oxandaboure of West Fargo, North Dakota, Peggy (Tom) Novak, of Pine Springs, Minnesota, Kathy Boelter, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Mary (Art) Peterson, of West Fargo, North Dakota, Joan (Mike) Walz, of West Fargo, North Dakota. Eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
