John E. Widme

Ethan John Widme, 56, rural Audubon, Minnesota, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at St. Marychr(39)s Innovis Health, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. John was born on March 1, 1953 to Aldus and Vera (Critts) Widme in Ada, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Wild Rice Lutheran Church, rural Twin Valley, Minnesota. John was raised and educated in Twin Valley, graduating from high School in 1971. He married Dorey Myers and together they had one daughter. John worked construction for several years. He, later married Pam Crooks in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. After working construction, John started trucking and made runs through out the United States. In recent years he drove truck for the beet harvest, due to his failing health. John loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. John is survived by his wife, Pam Widme of rural Audubon, Minnesota; one daughter, Daylene Wischnak; two grandchildren; father and step-mother, Aldus and JoAnn Widme of Twin Valley, Minnesota; sister, Sheila(Don) Heinen of Twin Valley, Minnesota. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, Vera and brother, Allen.
