Patricia A. Housholder

Patricia A. Housholder, 74 of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, Minnesota. Patricia was born on July 29, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Stella (Bushey) Graves in Aitkin, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Patricia was united in marriage to Richard Housholder in April of 1953 in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in Detroit Lakes and she was active at Holy Rosary Catholic Church during those early years. She was a gifted seamstress, providing beautiful clothing for her children and also enjoyed knitting. Patricia started to work as a housekeeper in1986, at the Holiday Inn, retiring in 2006. Patricia enjoyed her flower gardens, playing Rummy Cube, whist, was an avid book reader and also enjoyed bridge club in her early years. She also belonged to a birthday club for many years. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Lee Ann (Kevin Hunt) Larsen of Maple Grove, Minnesota; Lynn (Mike) Alexander of Frazee, Minnesota; one son, John (Kim) Housholder of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; ten grandchildren, Nick (Teri Firkins) Larsen, Sara Larsen, Matt Alexander, Lindsay Alexander, Ashton, Brittney, Braedon, Ian and Chase Housholder, Lacy Hubbard; two great-grandchildren, Tallulah and Scarlet Larson;one sister, Peg Aaland of Fargo, North Dakota; sister-in-law, Lois Graves of Garland, Texas; brother-in-law, George Schultz of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard, son, Bruce, four brothers, Jim, Jerry, Claude, Jack, two sisters, Kathryn Kahlberg and Genevieve Shriner.
