Victor O. Hermanson

Victor Hermanson age 64, of Detroit Lakes, MN died Saturday Oct. 17, 2009 at his residence. Victor Hermanson was born on May 18, 1945 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Alton and Gladys Maring Hermanson. He grew up in Detroit Lakes and enjoyed life around Hermansonchr(39)s Resort on Big Floyd Lake, which his parents owned and operated. Victor liked interacting with the guests and they likewise enjoyed his company. He loved to fish and ride his bike during those summers. He became a resident of Lakes Homes on Summit Avenue in Detroit Lakes in 1983, and lived there the remaining years of his life. Victor was a member of First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, as well as the group Godchr(39)s Faithful Followers. He also worked at the Becker County D.A.C. Victor was a very special being. He will be missed by everyone who ever got to know him, especially his brothers who were often amazed by the wonderful abilities of someone with many disabilities. Mom and Dad often thought that because Victor was so "normal" someday he would "awaken". That never happened, but Victor was just perfectly himself and that was more than enough for all of us! Victor is survived by his two brothers, Ford (Patricia) Hermanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN and Dean (Anne Hoffman) Hermanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN. One niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Gladys Hermanson.
