Thomas A. Sansburn

Thomas Allen Sansburn, 72, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Innovis Health Fargo, North Dakota. Tom was born on August 14, 1937. He was the son of Albert and Grace (Evans) Sansburn of Frazee, Minnesota. Tom was united in marriage to Shirley M. Abfalter on July 20, 1955 in Mandan, North Dakota. Tom and Shirley spent many years in Oregon, but eventually returned to the Detroit Lakes area to retire. Tomchr(39)s love of family eventually found all of his children relocating to the Detroit Lakes area. Tom loved the outdoors"hunting and fishing, always put a smile on his face. He also enjoyed puttering around the house, always having a project to work on. Tom is survived by his wife, Shirley Sansburn of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; four children, Margo (Rodney) Woodcock of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Bruce (Shelia) Sansburn of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Peggi (Jim) Momb of Rochert, Minnesota; Josh (Tabatha) Sansburn of Lake Park, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Naomi (Brian) Lindsey, Nick Sansburn, Steven Momb, Tim McFadzen, Travis McFadzen, Danni Hanson and Shaunita (Scott) Shave; two great-granddaughters, Mykala Lindsey and Jasmine Shave; one brother, John (Violet) Sansburn of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; one sister, Martha (Fritz) Rux of Blue River, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Tamara Jean, three brothers, Samuel, Andrew and Guy, two sisters, Eunice Hamline and Shirley McFarland.
