Amanda A. Bergstrom, 30, St. Louis Park, Minnesota, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 from injuries in a snowmobile accident in rural Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Amanda was born on May 17, 1979 to Perry Heinonen and Cheryl Bergstrom in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She was raised in Detroit Lakes and Frazee, graduating from Frazee High School in 1997. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked various jobs. Amanda worked for Fox TV and Time Warner as a traffic programmer. She then went on to attend the Dunwoody Institute and became an electrician with Union 292 in Minneapolis. Amanda was able to do anything she set out to do. "She could change the oil in your car and highlight your hair all in the same day." Amanda loved sports, snowmobiling, jet skis, animals and spending time with her family. Amanda is survived by her special friend, Liz Cruz of St. Louis Park, MN; mother, Cheryl (Jerry Behlmer) Kohler of Detroit Lakes, MN; father, Perry Heinonen of Detroit Lakes, MN; step-father, Tim Kohler of Frazee, MN; sister, Callie Kohler of Frazee, MN; brother, Clancy Kohler of Frazee, MN; close friend, Bethany Mattson of St. Louis Park, MN. three half-sisters, Angie Bellanger of Brainerd, MN; Jessica and Michelle Heinonen both Detroit Lakes, MN; one half-brother; Perry Heinonen Jr. of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandparents, John and Shirley Bergstrom of Rochert, MN; special nephew, Jordan Kellogg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Amanda was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Gust and Mary Bergstrom, Fred and Inez Feldt, grandparents, Archie and Anna Kohler, uncles, Steve Kohler, Michael and Tommy Bergstrom.
