Dorothy L. Longerbone, 97, Grand Forks, North Dakota, formerly of Ponsford and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died January 6, 2010 at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Dorothy was born on September 10, 1912, the daughter of Walter and Fannie (Roderick) Williams in Brainerd, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Harley Longerbone on November 23, 1933 in Bethany, Missouri. They made their home in Des Moines, Iowa until 1950, when they moved to their home in rural Ponsford, Minnesota. Harley died in 1966. Dorothy moved to her home on Cotton Lake in the mid-seventies and continued to live their until 1988, when she moved to Grand Forks to be closer to her daughterchr(39)s family. Dorothy enjoyed her flower gardens, bird watching, crocheting and spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her son Gary (Lynn) Longerbone, Graford, Texas; daughter, Delores (Allyn) Thompson of Grand Forks, North Dakota; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harley, son, Larry, one brother, Lawrence Williams, two sisters, Gladys White and Marie Drewette.
