Ralph L. Williams

Ralph L. Williams age 66 of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Friday Jan. 22, 2010 at St. Marychr(39)s Innovis Heath in Detroit Lakes. Ralph Williams was born on April 17, 1943 in St. Paul, MN to George and Julia Phillips Williams. The family moved to Detroit Lakes, where Ralph grew up and received his education. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965. He then worked in the construction industry in various cities including Seattle, Washington and Las Vegas, Nevada. He then moved back to Detroit Lakes where he continued to work with Dry Wall. He later worked as a Corrections Officer with the Becker County Sheriffchr(39)s Department. On May 4, 1990 he was united in marriage to Sherlene Peterson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, plowing snow, and daily coffee at Cenex with friends. Ralph is survived by his wife, Sherlene, four daughters; Tara Williams, of Fargo, ND, Amy (David) King, of Detroit Lakes, MN, Brook (Dan Colon) Christensen, of Wellington, Florida, and Heather (Bob) Moe, of Cottage Grove, MN, two sons; Kevin Moore, of Kentucky, and Jim (Sharon) Moore, of Kentucky, five grandchildren; Kourtney, Aubreanna, Demetre, Leo, and Sophie, two brothers; Don Williams, of Detroit Lakes, MN and Jim Williams, of New Town, ND, and one sister; Rose Steele, of Detroit Lakes, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; George Williams Jr. and three sisters; Eileen Talbot, Betty Jones, and Kathy Dugger.
