Vernon Edward Bryngelson age 68 of Callaway, MN died Tuesday February 9, 2010 at his residence under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Ed Bryngelson was born on June 12, 1941 in rural Callaway, MN to Vernon and Emma "Peg" Hazelton Bryngelson. He attended Detroit Lakes High School and later attended agricultural college in Crookston, MN. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1959, and later served in the National Guard, retiring in 2000. He worked for Bergenchr(39)s in Detroit Lakes for 49 years. Edchr(39)s farm was very special to him and he loved to entertain people there. He also enjoyed entertaining and visiting with his many friends from all over the world. He loved working in his yard, traveling, fishing, camping, laughing and telling stories. Ed is survived by three daughters, Stephanie (Scott Raines) Bryngelson, of Detroit Lakes, MN, Michele Nybo, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Christina (Gary) Bryngelson Bae, of Gilbert, Arizona; one granddaughter, Anatasia Bryngelson, of Fargo, ND; one brother, Jack (Mary) Bryngelson, of Callaway, MN; and loving companion, Brenda Lehmann, of Detroit Lakes, MN. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jennifer Bryngelson.
