Tabitha T. Janssen, 25, Ottertail, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 from injuries suffered in a car accident in rural Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Tabitha was born on May 22, 1984 to Dennis and Debra (Wischank) Herk in St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended school in Detroit Lakes, where she was active in the gymnastic program and also helped coach the Minnesota Flyers. Tabitha was known for her kind, outgoing, loving and caring personality. She was married Jordan Janssen on September 17, 2005. Their son, Bryce was born on September 8, 2007. Tabitha loved shopping, being at the lake, and loved cosmetology. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, someone that could make you laugh and was always willing to help those in need. There are really no words to describe how special she really was. Tabitha is survived by her husband, Jordan and son, Bryce of Ottertail, MN; mother, Debra Peterson of Queen Creek, AZ; father, Dennis Herk of Vergas, MN; six siblings, Nikki Russell of Butte, MT; Tyler Herk of Vergas, MN; Dylan and Dakotah Peterson of Queen Creek, AZ; Samone and Mariah Parsons of Park Rapids, MN; paternal grandmother, Hazel Herk of Detroit Lakes, MN; maternal grandmother, Betty Wischnak of Detroit Lakes, MN; maternal grandfather, Daryl Wischnak of Vergas, MN; step-grandmother, Mary Ann Parsons of Apache Junction, AZ; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Barry and Sandra Janssen of Ottertail, MN. Tabitha was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lyle Herk, step father and grandfather, Shawn and Rodger Parsons, special friends, JD Karger and Eric Engel. And many others that meant so much to her.
