Lucille E. Nephew

Lucille (Rasmusson) Nephew was born May 11, 1923 in Anthony, Minnesota to Richard and Martha Rasmusson. She married Earl Nephew on October 12, 1940 in Ada, Minnesota. Lucille worked with her beloved husband Earl for various farmers and ranchers in the Red River Valley. Lucille also worked for the Twin Valley Nursing Home. Lucille and Earl enjoyed their retirement in Fertile, Minnesota. While living in Fertile, Lucille was a member of the Evanger Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Ladies Aide and Bible Studies. Lucille loved the Lord and enjoyed learning at Bible Study. Lucille had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke ready. She enjoyed bird-watching, card playing, canning, baking cookies, and gardening. Lucille had such a loving personality, she will be greatly missed! On March 29, 2010 Lucille E. Nephew passed away at Emmanuel Nursing home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota at 86 years of age. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, four brothers, two sisters, and one son-in-law Michael McGowan. Survivors are one son Duane (Gail) Nephew of Fertile, Minnesota, Daughters Leann McGowan of Stacy, Minnesota, and Karen (Curtis) Johnson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; thirty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.
