David E. Beckwith

David E. Beckwith age 63 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Friday October 1, 2010 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. David Eugene Beckwith was born on October 12, 1946 in Fargo, North Dakota to James and Ann Kvarta Beckwith. They moved to rural Frazee, MN when David was a young boy. He attended school in Frazee, graduating from Frazee High School. He then served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War. In the following years he worked as a mechanic for Boeing in Missouri and also Northwest Airlines. He also owned and operated a resort in the Park Rapids, MN area, and for a short time taught diesel mechanics in the Detroit Lakes area. David enjoyed raising cattle on his hobby farm, and you could always find him with a fishing pole in his hand, and it didnchr(39)t matter what time of the year it was. He is survived by his daughter, Sheri (John) Hart, of Urbano, Missouri, and his mother, Ann Beckwith, of Detroit Lakes, MN. He was preceded in death by his father, James Beckwith, and a brother Ronald Beckwith.
