Roger W. Wirth

Roger W. Wirth, 72, Callaway, Minnesota, passed away Friday, November 05, 2010 at Sanford Health, Fargo, North Dakota. Roger was born on June 16, 1938, the son of Elmer and Velma (Renollet) Wirth in Frazee, Minnesota. He received his education in Frazee and Perham, graduating from Perham High School. Roger was united in marriage to Bernice Wegscheid on June 7, 1960 at St. Johnchr(39)s Baptist Church, Bluffton, Minnesota. He served as a member of the Federal Reserves for seven plus years. Roger owned and operated Wirth Electric in Callaway. Roger was a member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Assumption Catholic Church and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He also served as chairman on the Sugarbush Township for twenty-three years. Roger was an avid fishermen, hunter and woodworker. Roger is survived by his wife, Bernice Wirth of Callaway, MN; children, Renee Varner of West Fargo, ND; Audrey (Dean) Minnerath of Detroit Lakes, MN; Brenda (Lester) Kiehl Jr. of Detroit Lakes, MN; Jeffrey (Cynthia) Wirth of Callaway, MN; Pamela (Robert) Legg of Grand Forks, ND; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; his mother, Velma Wirth of Frazee, MN; two brothers, Rodney (Shirley) Wirth of Glyndon, MN; Rickey (Patricia) Wirth of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sisters, Rachel (Patrick) Robideau of Dilworth, MN; Robyn (Wayne) Nordby of Spokane, WA; numerous nieces and nephews. Roger is preceded in death by his father, Elmer.
