Gordon L. Bart

Gordon L. Bart age 82 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Friday December 3, 2010 at St. Marychr(39)s Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes. Gordon Lyle Bart was born on November 15, 1928 in Fargo, ND to Gust and Clara Lindsay Bart. He grew up and attended school in Fargo. He then worked for the Holsum Bakery in Fargo as a semi truck driver. In February of 1950 he married Lenore Hennings in Denver, CO. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. They moved to Moorhead, MN, where he continued his career with the bakery, working there for a total of 39 years. Following his retirement they moved to Vergas, MN. In November of 1990 he married Tillie Osterman in Frazee, MN. They later moved to Detroit Lakes. Gordon was known to have a good sense of humor, and liked to tease. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, MN Twins Baseball, and time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, Etheldra "Tillie" Bart, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one son, Jim (Katherine) Bart, of Watertown, MN; one daughter, Donna (John) Holman, of Minneapolis, MN; five step sons, David (Teri) Osterman, of Frazee, MN; Peter (Barbara) Osterman, of Frazee, MN; Scott (Kandyce) Osterman, of Alexandria, MN; Neil (Tammy) Osterman, of Wilcox, AZ; and Joe (Jan) Osterman, of Wilcox, AZ; four step daughters, Danae (Rick) Wothe, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Kay Wothe, of Pine, AZ; Peggy Christensen, of Cedar Key, FL; and Amy (Henry) Gernhardt, of Cedar Key, FL; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Lenore (1983); Parents; three sisters; one step son, Dan Osterman; one step son in law, Ray Wothe.
