Norma E. Conklin, 86, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Monday, December 06, 2010 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Norma was born on February 1, 1924, the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Fisher) Lindgren in Ponsford, Minnesota. Norma was raised and educated in the Ponsford area. She was united in marriage to Floyd Conklin on December 25, 1940 in Osage, Minnesota. In the later years they moved to Frazee. Norma was a member of the United Methodist Church in Frazee. Norma enjoyed gardening, canning, making quilts, crossword puzzles, fishing, playing bingo and most of all spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling to Washington to visit family members. Norma had a great sense of humor and enjoyed living life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed. Norma is survived by her husband, Floyd Conklin of Frazee, MN; two sons, Ronald (Zelda) Conkiln of Perham, MN; Roger (Sharlene) Conklin of Glendale, AZ; two daughters, Marion (Dick) Crane of Detroit Lakes, MN; Janet (John) Pesonen of Cloquet, MN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, one brother, Alton (Mina) Lindgren of Oregon; one sister, Edna Conklin of Park Rapids, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joyce Hendrickson, three brothers, Orville, Alfred and Ralph Lindgren and granddaughter, Brenda Conklin.
