Bertha Boelter

Bertha Boelter age 80 of Detroit Lakes, MN, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, December 31, 2010 at her residence. Bertha Boelter was born on July 8, 1930 in McClusky, North Dakota to August and Tillie Hoffer Herr. She grew up and attended school there. On July 1, 1956 she was united in marriage to Francis G. Boelter. Over the years they made their home in Bismarck, Riverdale, and West Fargo, ND as well as Pelican Rapids and Detroit Lakes, MN. Bertha loved spending time with her family, planning family gatherings, playing bridge, and wintering in Arizona. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Francis "Gerald" Boelter; five daughters, Holly (Mitch) Oxandabourne, of West Fargo, ND; Peggy (Thomas) Novak, of Pine Springs, MN; Kathy Boelter, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Mary (Art) Peterson, of West Fargo, ND; Joan (Michael) Walz, of Fargo, ND; eight Grandchildren; two Great Grandchildren; three sisters, Alice (LeRoy) Lauer, of McClusky, ND; Darlene (John) Finstad, of Lake Park, MN; Ida Neff, of Bismarck, ND; and one brother, Edwin (Louise) Herr, of Bismarck, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence, Rueben, Alfred, and Louie Herr; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Peterson.
