Lorence D. Taylor

Lorence D. Taylor age 58 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Sunday February 13, 2011 at St. Marychr(39)s Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN. Larry Taylor was born on March 21, 1952 in Little Falls, MN to Willard and Vernie Beto Taylor. They moved to Cushing, MN and then to Waubun, MN where Larry attended school. They later moved to Detroit Lakes, where Larry graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1970. He then attended the Detroit Lakes Vocational and Technical College. On July 22, 1972 he was united in marriage to Elaine Strom in Lake Park, MN. Larry worked for the Swift Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes for 19 years. In 1990 he started working for the Pan O Gold Bakery as a route delivery driver, where he was currently employed. Larry was an avid bird watcher. He also enjoyed board games, antiques, and visiting with people. His faith was very important to him. Larry is survived by his wife, Elaine; two sons, Matthew (Lisa) Taylor, of Mankato, MN; John Taylor, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two daughters, Jami (Brandon Gill) Taylor, of New Hope, MN; Kari Taylor, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one sister, Susan Anderson, of Milaca, MN; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
