LeNore M. Anderson age 85 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Wednesday February 23, 2011 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. LeNore Marjorie Anderson was born on April 6, 1925 in rural Gibbon, MN to Clarence and Hulda Swenson Olson. She was baptized at home and confirmed at Clear Lake Lutheran Church in rural Gibbon, MN. She attended Gibbon Public Schools, graduating from Gibbon High School in 1943. She attended Mankato State Teachers College, where she received her teaching degree. She taught at various country schools around the Gaylord/Gibbon area. On June 26, 1948 she was united in marriage to Warren M. Anderson at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop, MN. They bought a farm in Gibbon and she went back to school at Mankato for her 4 year teaching degree. She continued to teach in the Gibbon Public School System for many years. She was a music teacher, a Sunday school teacher at First Lutheran Church, a Cornish Huskers 4-H club leader, and was active in many womenchr(39)s groups in the community. She and Warren later moved to Winthrop after Warren retired. After LeNore retired they built a home on Straight Lake in Northern MN, fulfilling a lifelong dream they had of living on a lake. LeNore was active in the Osage Community Center, the Straight Lake Ladies Club, and Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. She loved playing the Piano, crocheting, knitting, quilting, traveling, camping, and sharing her knowledge of rocks with everyone. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. LeNore is survived by two daughters, Lynette (Edwin) Hilden, of Osage, MN; Susanne (Harry) Hilden, of Detroit Lakes, MN; four grandchildren, Jacque (Lance) Schoeberl, of Park Rapids, MN; James (Cara Ferrier) Hilden, of Morrison, CO; Heather (Keith) Breckheimer, of Chaska, MN; Heidi Hilden, of Larchwood, Iowa; two brothers, Cyrus (Vivian) Olson, of Albert Lea, MN; Gordon (Joan) Olson, of Chatfield, MN; sister in law, Leilah Anderson, of Winthrop, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren (1991); parents, and an infant brother, Clarence Einar.
