Steven Frederick Larson, 59, Fargo, formerly of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Saturday March 5, 2011 at Elim Rehab and Care Center Fargo, ND surrounded by loved ones. Steve was born October 3, 1951, in Fargo ND to Delmar and Kathryn (Householder) Larson. He graduated from Fargo North High School and attended Moorhead State College. Steve grew up in Fargo and enjoyed embarking on trips with his family to their cabin on Pelican Lake, enjoyed boxing and his Honda motorcycle. More recently Steve enjoyed activities such as fishing, boating, reading, woodworking, gardening, cooking and watching NASCAR. Steve was employed as business and finance manager at Lakes Ford, Rydell Ford and Bill Schwartz Ford Dealership. Most recently, he was employed at DakTech in Fargo as regional sales manager. Three years ago, Steve suffered two severe strokes, which caused recent times to be difficult for Steve and for those close to him. Through these times, he fought harder than most of us could have ever imagined. Despite multiple complications with his communication skills, he was still able to make those around him laugh. Stevechr(39)s strength will forever be an inspiration to those who remember him. Steve is survived by his wife Jane, Detroit lakes, MN and children, Ben (Kerri) Larson, Delano MN, Sarah (Blake) Mastin, Michael Larson, Katie Larson, Chris Larson all of Detroit Lakes, MN: two grandchildren, Trinity and Justus: his sister, LeeAnne (Chris) Hanson, Moorhead MN and companion, Beverly Myers, Fargo ND. He is preceded in death by his parents. Steve will be missed by many, but will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who cared for him.
