Betty Mae Vogt, 76, Detroit Lakes, MN passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Golden Manor, Detroit Lakes, MN under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Betty was born on March 14, 1934 to Ole and Myrtle (Hanson) Sandvik in Hawley, Minnesota. She lived in Detroit Lakes most of her adult life. Betty enjoyed life with her children and grandchildren, along with her music and dancing. Betty will be deeply missed and remembered by her children, Diane (Ron) Morton of Detroit Lakes, MN; Allan (Chris) Erickson of Detroit Lakes, MN; Mari Ronning of Lincoln, NE; Sue (Ted) Cervenka of Detroit Lakes, MN; Steve (Tonya) Leitheiser of Detroit Lakes, MN; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Sandvik of Albertville, MN; four sisters, Doris Wolter of Seattle, WA; Volly (Al) Tyge of Detroit Lakes, MN; Shirley Courneya of Bloomington, MN; Sharon (Bruce) Courneya of Blaine, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cheryl Ronning, husband, Richard Vogt, brother, Howard Sandvik, and sister, Thelma Burton.
