Janice M. Graphenteen, 67, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home. Janice was born on May 31, 1943, the daughter of Albin and Martha (Lanoye) Remerowski in Marshall, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in Marshall. She graduated from Marshall High School. Janice married Verlon Graphenteen on June 22, 1963 in Marshall, MN. They resided in Eagen, MN until moving to Detroit Lakes, MN. Janice worked as a noon duty supervisor at Lincoln Elementary and at Conagra Foods. Janice enjoyed crocheting and crafts. The most important part of her life was her family and especially her grandchildren. Janice loved to attend her grandchildrenchr(39)s school activities and just be able to spend time with them was always the highlight of her day. Janice is survived by her husband, Verlon Graphenteen; daughter, Jill (Jeff) Rusness; son Jeff (Jennifer) Graphenteen all of Detroit Lakes, MN; five grandchildren, Meghan and Austin Rusness, Gunner, Chase and Olivia Graphenteen; two brothers, Howard (Cora) Remerowski of Grant, MN; Richard (Susan)Remerowski of Maple Grove, MN; nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Christine Graphenteen and brother, Ronald Remerowski.
