Cameron S. Olson, 81, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Cameron was born on November 28, 1929, the son of Cameron and Agnes (Enselman) Olson Sr. in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes. As a young man he plowed snow for Becker County. Cameron later drove truck for Daggett Trucking and Kost Brothers. He eventually drove for Triangle Bus Company in Grand Forks, North Dakota and returned to Detroit Lakes after his retirement. Upon his return he met Rose Giefer and married the love of his life on February 14, 1998 at Rosechr(39)s granddaughter, Marychr(39)s home in Mandan, North Dakota. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. Cameron enjoyed dancing and had a great love for dogs, especially his dog, Judy. He also enjoyed listening to his radio and his scanner, but thoroughly enjoyed listening to the news. Cameron is survived by his wife, Rose Olson of Detroit Lakes, MN; step-children, Wayne (Alice) Giefer of Vermillion, MN; Sherian (Joe) Warren of White Earth, MN; Virginia (Stanley) Warren of Callaway, MN; Gary (Kathy) Giefer of Webster, MN; Wendy (Bruce) Giefer of Minneapolis, MN; Dan (Pam) Giefer of Frazee, MN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kermit and Norman Olson; sister, Evonne "Mickie" Engebretson.
