Dick Lund age 82, of Frazee, MN died Sunday June 19, 2011 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Dick was born to Clyde and Dagny (Selvaag) Lund on October 26, 1928 in Brainerd, MN. He attended elementary school in Ogema, MN and graduated from Waubun High School, class of 1947. He then attended North Dakota State University and Moorhead State University. In January of 1951 he left for Camp Rucker in Alabama, where he served in the Armychr(39)s 136 Infantry during the Korean War. Dick was united in marriage to Diantha Schultz on April 25, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Callaway, MN. Dick owned and operated Dickchr(39)s Body Shop and a construction and development company. He was instrumental in the organization and management of Dynamic Homes in Detroit Lakes, where he also served on the Board of Directors. He was also President of Rapid Building Systems of Pelican Rapids, which manufactured trusses. He was also a partner in Picture Rock of Detroit Lakes, and Orbit Homes of Alexandria and Detroit Lakes. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading whatever was available. He is survived by his wife, Diantha, two brothers, Allan (Lois) Lund, of Hayward, WI; Robert (Shirley) Lund, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; brother Gaylord Lund; and one sister Celia Sova.
