Virginia E. Finch

Virginia E. Finch, 79, Rochert, Minnesota died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Virginia was born to Edward and Mora (Swift) Kohle on August 17, 1931 in Alton, Illinois. She was raised and educated in Alton, graduating from Alton High School in 1949. On December 11, 1954 she was united in marriage to Albert "Bert" Finch at North Alton Baptist Church in Alton. To this union James and Linda were born. In 1975 the family moved to Bloomington, Minnesota and in 1990 Ginny and Bert retired to Rochert, Minnesota. Ginnychr(39)s greatest joy was her family. She devoted herself to making sure that everyone around her was happy. Her interests included sewing, cooking, cross stitching and reading. Ginny is survived by her husband, Bert Finch of Rochert, MN; son, James(Julie) Finch of St. Paul, MN; daughter, Linda(Wesley) Briggs of Kindred, ND; three grandchildren, Jennifer Finch, Lori (Trokon) Yalartai and Robert (Jessica) Briggs; two great-grandchildren, Anthony Briggs and Trokon Yalartai Jr.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law,, Lester and Nancy Finch of Godfrey, IL. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Kohle Jr. and sister-in-law Eldarene Kohle. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Bakke Lutheran Church.
