Bonnie J. Quam

Bonnie J. Quam age 73 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Wednesday June 29, 2011 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Bonnie Jean Quam was born on January 3, 1938 in Fargo, ND to Harold and Hyldred Beito Wilson. She grew up and received her education in West Fargo, ND, graduating from West Fargo High School in 1955. On February 18, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert C. Quam. They made their home in West Fargo, where Bonnie worked for the Farmers Union Commission Company. They moved to San Angelo, TX and in 1969 moved to Greeley CO where they lived for many years. For many years they spent summers in the lakes area and eventually made Detroit Lakes their permanent home. Bonnie and Bob enjoyed the winters they spent together in Texas. Bonnie always loved to be near the water and enjoyed time at the lake with her family. She is survived by her husband Robert; one daughter, Julie Villa, of Greeley, CO; two sons, Kevin (Elaine) Quam, of Greeley, CO; David (Julie) Quam, of San Angelo, TX; five grandchildren, Austin (Becky) Valencia, Russell Valencia, Chris Williams, Brady Quam, and Elizabeth Villa. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son in law, Steve Villa.
