Linda M. Warner age 46, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 9, 2011 in Champlin, MN surrounded by family, after a courageous three month battle with cancer. Linda Marie Warner was born on March 17, 1965 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Thomas and Alta Cobb Oakes. She grew up and received her education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1983. Linda attended Moorhead State University where she earned a B.S. degree in accounting in 1987. She then began working for Great Plains Software in Fargo, ND. On June 15, 1991 she was united in marriage to Richard Warner in Detroit Lakes, where they also made their home. Linda continued her career with Great Plains through their acquisition by Microsoft. She ended her distinguished career as a Channel Development Manager in sales for Microsoft Corporation. Linda always lived life to the fullest. She had an extraordinary gift to love and was loved by so many in return. Her numerous friendships are a testament to her caring and generous nature. Linda was a bright light taken too quickly from us here on earth, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Rich, of Detroit Lakes, MN; special friend, Tim Rosendahl; Father, Tom Oakes, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Brother, Rodney (Nancy) Oakes, of Naples, FL; Sister, Janet (Patrick) Juenemann, of Champlin, MN; Nieces and Nephews; and her beloved Golden Retrievers, Sadie and Rocket, who held a special place in Lindachr(39)s heart and life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alta Oakes; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Gretchen Warner; and Sister in Law, Colleen Oakes.
