Clarence "Cy" E. Field Sr. 72, West Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his home. Cy was born the son of Melvin and Lydia (Bondarenko) Field on September 6, 1938 in Erie Township of Becker County, rural Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes. As a young man, he worked road construction with his dad and brothers in the southern United States. Cy than worked at Field Trucking, which was the family trucking business. He married Diane Moser on September 6, 1963 and became an owner/operator with the trucking business. Cy later became a Dry Waller and worked in various parts of the country. Cy enjoyed playing sports as a young man and watching them as an "old man" especially his beloved Vikings and Twins. Cy is survived by his son, Cy (Julie) Field Jr. of Detroit Lakes, two grandchildren, Nate and Jenna Field; two step-grandchildren, Matt and Missy Blanchard; sister, Marlene (Douglas) Faus of Moorhead, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Cy was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ethel Davis and Margaret Field, two brothers, Chester and Allan Field.
