Raymond M. Tufte

Raymond M. Tufte, 63, Detroit Lakes, MN, formerly of Hayfield, MN died Monday, August 29, 2011 at his home. Ray was born on February 11, 1948, the son of Raymond and Luella (Bremseth) Tufte in Austin, MN. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ray married Lucy Mullenbach on April 3, 1972. Together they raised four children and later divorced. He served as Post Vice Commander from 1981-1982 and Post Commander from 1982-1983 for VFW Post 1215 in Rochester, MN. Ray enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ray is survived by his children, Susan Tufte of Bryon, MN; Matt (Lisa) Tufte; Andy (Lisa) Tufte; Krissy (David Ehmke) Tufte all of Hayfield, MN; six grandchildren, Josh and Jade Yngsdal, Connor and Allie Tufte, Logan and Paeton Tufte; fiance, Dee Klobe of Detroit Lakes, MN. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Amanda Tufte.
