Ione G. Greenlaw age 84 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Friday September 9, 2011 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Ione Gladys Greenlaw was born on November 7, 1926 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Oscar and Elsie Grunewald Anderson. She grew up in the Lake Eunice area and attended Detroit Lakes schools, graduating in 1944. She was united in marriage to Charles Greenlaw on June 1, 1946. Ione helped and worked with her brother LeRoy when he started Snappy Inc. She also worked for Peoplechr(39)s Natural Gas in Detroit Lakes and later owned and operated the Dairy Queens in Detroit Lakes from 1984-1992. Ione was the most devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother any family could have. She was very involved with her church, singing in the choir for over 50 years. Ione is survived by two sons, Dr. Cal Greenlaw, of Chillicothe, Missouri; and Bruce (Aurelia) Greenlaw, of Detroit Lakes, MN; three daughters, Candis (Woody) Hunt, of Mpls, MN; Dee Ann Royce, of Duluth, MN; and Sandra Shenas, of Enfield, Connecticut; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, LeRoy (Irene) Anderson, of Boise, Idaho; and Lyle (Lou) Anderson, of Stillwater, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (7/7/07); and her parents.
