Dennis V. Anderson

Dennis V. Anderson age 61 of rural Frazee, MN died Friday October 7, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Dennis Anderson was born on August 8, 1950 in Perham, MN to Verner and Lorraine Hoehne Anderson. He grew up and attended country school in the Evergreen area. Dennis served in the United States Army 101st Airbourne Division from 1967-1970 during the Viet Nam War. Following his discharge he returned to the area where he worked various jobs including working for Dynamic Homes and Forbes Roofing. On August 16, 1975 he was united in marriage to Sherri Karger in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in the Evergreen area. Dennis worked many years for Land O Lakes in Perham, MN. He retired in 2001. Dennis loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid gun collector. He also enjoyed traveling, especially riding the train "out west". He is survived by two sons, Eli Anderson, of San Diego, CA; and Chris Anderson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; three sisters, Sharon (Bernard) Crotts, of Osage, MN; Linda (Kenneth) West, of Lake Stevens, WA; and Loretta (Melvin) Conklin, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one brother, Jeffery Anderson, of Frazee, MN; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Sherri Karger, of Detroit Lakes, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Lloyd Anderson.
