Landon G. Knutson

Landon Gene Knutson age 43 of rural Lake Park, MN died Saturday October 8, 2011 at his residence. Landon Knutson was born on November 22, 1967 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Alvin and Valerie Larson Knutson. He grew up in the Lake Park and Hawley area, graduating from Hawley High School. In 1992 he and Tammy Cossette had a son, Jacob. Landon worked as a self employed carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, time spent with family, and watching his son ride in rodeos. Landon was also an accomplished artist, who enjoyed drawing wildlife. He was always there to help others, and was very dedicated to his family and friends. Landon is survived by one son, Jacob Knutson, of Lake Park, MN; three brothers, Lynn Knutson, of Frazee, MN; Tim (Manda) Knutson, of Hawley, MN; and Jason (Jessica) Knutson, of Hawley, MN; three sisters, Steph (Dave) Busack, of Mpls, MN; Heidi Carlson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and LaDonna (Paul) Cossette, of Medora, ND; Mother, Valerie Knutson, of Ulen, MN; Grandmother, Ardis Larson, of Ulen, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Knutson Jr.; grandfather, Alvin Knutson Sr.; grandmother, Margaret Ann Knutson; grandfather Oliver Larson; stepfather Ben Piche; brother in law, Christopher Carlson; niece, Tori Anna Knutson; and father in law, Robert Cossette.
