Clara C. Schoenberger age 91 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Monday December 19, 2011 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Clara Catherine Schoenberger was born on December 15, 1920 in Erie Township of rural Detroit Lakes, MN. to George and Catherine Stein Eidenschink. She grew up and attended country school in Erie Township. She married Bernard Olding in 1944 in Seattle, Washington, where they lived for a few years while Bernard was in the service. They also lived in Covington, Kentucky before moving back to Detroit Lakes in 1952. Clara raised her family and worked as a waitress for many years at the Erie 34 and later the Erie Jr. Restaurants in Detroit Lakes. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Schoenberger on December 27, 1969 in Detroit Lakes. Clara and Lloyd enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, and traveling in their motorhome. Clara also enjoyed the excitement of visiting casinos. Her family was a very important part of her life, and her favorite time to spend with family was the Christmas season. Clara is survived by two daughters, Gloria (John) Hunsaker, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Sandee (Larry) Listul, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one son, Bruce (Judy) Olding, of Newell, SD; six grandchildren, Kim (Nathan) Stordahl, of Fargo, ND; Jill (Elliot) Olson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Shawn (Crystal) Hunsaker, of Fairburn, SD; Bud (Linda) Newman, of Moorhead, MN; Todd Olson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Karla (Dusty) Johnson, of Hermosa, SD; three step grandchildren, Shannon (Troy) Zwatzig, of Newell, SD; Teresa Styles, of Belle Fourche, SD; Patrick Gilmore, of Rapid City, SD; sixteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and one sister, Marcella Eberhardt, of Detroit Lakes, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd (7/2/11); six brothers, Clarence, Edward, Sally, Leander, Lawrence, and Norbert Eidenschink; and two sisters Isabell Edstrom and Leona Muldaney.
