Richard "Dick" G. Mueller, 70, rural Frazee, Minnesota, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Dick was born on February 13, 1941, the son of George and Elvina (Weyer) Mueller in rural Lakeland, Minnesota. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1959. Dick enlisted in the United States Army shortly after high school and served until receiving an honorable discharge in 1965. He was united in marriage to Sharon Oehlke on June 19, 1965 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minnesota. They made their home in Lakeland, until 1977 when they moved to Frazee. Dick was a self employed carpenter. He was gifted with his woodworking abilities, which he shared with his family and friends. Dick could always be found in his garage building something new out of wood. Whether it was a rocking chair or doll crib for a granddaughter, whatever it was he could build it. One thing Dick enjoyed the most was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Dick is survived by his wife, Sharon Mueller of rural Frazee, MN; three sons, Richard (Brandy) Mueller of Mahnomen, MN; Roger (Jill) Mueller of Osakis, MN; Rolie (Lori) Mueller of Detroit Lakes, MN; twelve grandchildren, Bryce, Steven, Ariel, Megan, Katie, Bethani, Brandon, Chase, Brittany, Carter and Taylor Mueller, Torie McTaggert; two great grandchildren, Autumn Waltzing and Jayden Alvarado; one brother, Stan (Nancy) Mueller of Lake St. Croix Beach, MN; two sisters; Connie (Bob) Bearl of Lakeland, MN; Georgia Haft of Oakdale, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marilyn Fredricks, two brothers-in-law, Harold "Butch" Haft and John Fredricks.
