Florence M. Rebne 85, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Frazee Care Center, Frazee, Minnesota. Florence was born on May 29, 1926, the daughter of Ole and Susie (Johnson) Kvigne on the family farm in rural Ambrose, North Dakota. She attended country school and graduated from Crosby High School in 1943. Florence worked as a bookkeeper at the in the Divide County Superintendentchr(39)s office and the Divide County Treasurerchr(39)s office in Crosby, North Dakota. She later, started working for REA office in Divide County as a bookkeeper until she transferred to Columbus, North Dakota. Florence was united in marriage to Einar Rebne on September 21, 1950. They moved to Guymon, Oklahoma for Einarchr(39)s job. There she was a home maker and raised their three children. Florence was active in the church and cub scouts. They moved to a hobby farm in Detroit Lakes in 1978. They built their lake home on Big Floyd Lake in 1987. Florence and Einar were able to enjoy sixty years of marriage together. With everything that happened throughout her life, she always had faith in the Lord. Florence was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed visiting, playing slot machines, baking, dancing, singing, playing piano, guitar and harmonica. Florence is survived by daughter, Robin (David) Burkel Jr. of Frazee, MN; son, Cory Rebne of Detroit Lakes, MN; five grandchildren, Bandi (Shane) Pietzsch, Heather Voyles, Megan, Grant and Peter Burkel; one great-grandson; two sisters-in-law Pearl Krager of Cedar Park, TX and Barb Rebne of Morrisville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Einar (2010), son, Allen, four brothers, Oscar, Clarence, Orvin, Melvin and an infant brother, one sister, Irene Steinke.
