Roy W. Mosher, 99, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Roy was born on January 30, 1913, the son of John and Agnes (Wilson) Mosher in LeRay Township of Blue Earth County, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Eagle Lake, Minnesota. As a young man he worked on the family farm and was a salesman for Jacobchr(39)s Wind Electric Company. Roy was united in marriage to Mabel Lusty on November 20, 1939 in Mankato, Minnesota. They made their home in Ogema, Minnesota. During World War II they moved to Bremerton, Washington and worked at the Ammunition Depot. After the war Roy and Mabel returned to Ogema, where he worked as a carpenter and bridge builder. Roy enjoyed hobby farming, gardening, reading, playing the organ and piano. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Roy is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Mabel Mosher of Detroit Lakes, MN; his children,Marion (Phillip) Nelson of Ogema, MN; Lester ( Susan) Mosher of Waseca, MN; Marlene (Terry) Bunnis of Ogema, MN; Anne ( Raymond) Collmann of Ogema, MN; Ralph (Robin) Mosher of Detroit Lakes, MN; Diane (Don) Heinrich of Detroit Lakes, MN; Cecile (Eden) Baer of Rochert, MN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Ryan Mosher, six brothers, Clinton, George, Clifford, Earl, infant brothers, Edwin and Edmond Mosher.
