Aldus O. Widme

Aldus Widme age 85 of Twin Valley, MN went to be with the Lord on Friday March 9, 2012 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Aldus Widme was born on Nov. 1, 1926 in rural Twin Valley, MN to Joseph and Clara Olson Widme. He attended country school at the Four Corners School in rural Twin Valley and later graduated from Twin Valley High School. Aldus worked various construction jobs over the years, living in Chicago, the Twin Cities, and later back in Twin Valley. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Johnson. He worked as a foreman for S.A. Habedank Construction of Twin Valley for 25 years. Aldus loved to hunt, fish, and spend time in the woods. He was an exceptional woodworker who could make almost anything. He also enjoyed astronomy and art. He completed numerous paintings throughout the years. His faith was also very important to him and he read his bible daily. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his great grandson Jackson, who lived with he and JoAnn for several years. Aldus is survived by his wife, JoAnn; one daughter, Sheila (Don) Heinen, of Twin Valley, MN; four grandchildren, Dana Widme, Wiley Widme, Daylene Wishnak, and Amanda Johnson; several great grandchildren; one sister, Joslyn Nickelson, of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska; one nephew, Robert Keller, of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska; and a sister in law, Leola Widme, of Twin Valley, MN. Aldus was preceded in death by two sons, Allen Widme and John Widme; one brother, Mayneth Widme, and his parents.
