Mary E. Myren

Mary E. Myren age 73 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Saturday March 24, 2012 at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND. Mary Ellen Myren was born on December 14, 1938 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up and attended school in Winona, MN. On October 28, 1961 she was united in marriage to LeRoy A. Myren in St. Paul, MN. Because of LeRoychr(39)s service in the Air Force they lived in various places before moving to Detroit Lakes in 1975. They owned and operated the Highway 59 Motel in Detroit Lakes until 1985. Mary worked at Norbychr(39)s in Detroit Lakes for 25 years. Mary enjoyed fishing, gardening, arts and crafts, counted cross stitching, crocheting, and her cats. She will also be remembered as an excellent cook. Mary is survived by her husband, Leroy; one daughter, Vicky (Les) Lindsay, of Wyndmere, ND; three sons, George Myren, of Detroit Lakes, MN; James (Theresa) Myren, of Milwaukee, WI; and Vincent Myren, of Waukesha, WI; six grandchildren, Rachel Myren, Jordan Myren, Allyson Lindsay, Ryan Lindsay, Katherine Myren, and Vincent Myren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Verna (Stanislawski) Pelowski.
