Mary E. Williams

Mary E. Williams age 87 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Monday April 2, 2012 at her residence. Mary Elizabeth Williams was born on October 18, 1924 in New Rockford, North Dakota to Stephen and Elizabeth Adams Helenske. She grew up and attended Country School in that area. She then moved to St. Cloud, MN, where she lived with her sister and attended high school. Following her graduation from high school she returned to North Dakota and taught Country School near Fessenden, North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Williams and they made their home in Fargo, North Dakota for many years. Following retirement they moved to Star Lake near Dent, MN. They later moved to Perham, MN. Mary has been a resident of Detroit Lakes for the past year. Mary enjoyed time spent with her family. She also enjoyed fishing on Star Lake. She was a great Mother and Homemaker. She was a kind spirit with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Bruce) Lindblad, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Linda Mudge, of Fort Wayne, IN; six grandchildren, Stephanie LeFebvre, of Fort Wayne, IN; Jennifer Gaspersich, of Blaine, MN; Brian Lindblad, of Audubon, MN; Jenny Beck, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Launa Bergren, of Lake Park, MN; and Damon Allmaras, of PA; and thirteen great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (2007); two sons, Larry Allmaras and James Allmaras; son in law, Stephen Mudge; six sisters; two brothers; and her parents.
