Vivian M. Martinson age 94 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Essentia Health "? Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Vivian Mae Martinson was born on October 15, 1917 in Driscoll, North Dakota to Clyde and Lillie Van Vleet Stull. The family moved to rural Detroit Lakes, MN in 1925. On February 26, 1942 Vivian was united in marriage to Gunnar Martinson in Detroit Lakes. They made their home and raised their family in Detroit Lakes. Vivian enjoyed gardening and time spent with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Michels, of Detroit Lakes, MN; six grandchildren, Trever Michels, Lori Michels, Holly Larson, Chad Martinson, Kathy Martinson, and Jeff Martinson; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Billing, of Perham, MN and Arlene Kirkvold, of Fergus Falls, MN; and one daughter in law, Mary Martinson, of Detroit Lakes, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnar (1984); one son, Donald Martinson; two sisters, Mildred Bratlie and Shirley Frannea; one brother, Clyde Stull Jr.; one son in law, Larry Michels, and her parents.
