Doris E. Sagen

Doris E. Sagen age 70 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Doris Elaine Sagen was born on June 16, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA to Edward and Evelyn Fagerlie Marks. The family moved to Glyndon, MN when Doris was very young. She received her education in Glyndon, graduating from Glyndon High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Merle Sagen in December of 1965. They raised their family in Detroit Lakes, MN. Doris worked as a Jailor for the Becker County Sheriffchr(39)s Department for 16 years, retiring due to health issues. Time spent with her grandchildren was very special to Doris. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake, crocheting, baking, reading, arts and crafts and playing cards with friends at The Lamplighter. She is survived by two sons, Guy Sagen, of Lakeville, MN; and Byron (Leslie) Sagen, of Walker, MN; one daughter, Dorinda (Miles) Triebenbach, of Jamestown, ND; six grandchildren, Dillion, Andrew, Alexis, Taylor, Cody, and Katie; two brothers, Donald (June) Marks, of Twin Valley, MN; and John (Mary Jo) Marks, of Jordan, MN; two sisters in law, Norma Marks, of Buffalo, MN; and Joanne Marks, of Torrance, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Duane, David, Edward, and Richard Marks.
