Floyd L. Conklin, 91, Frazee, Minnesota, died Friday, June 08, 2012 at Frazee Care Center, Frazee, Minnesota. Floyd was born on July 17, 1920, the son of Andrew and Violet (Stewart) Conklin in Ponsford, Minnesota. He received his education in Ponsford. Floyd was united in marriage to Norma Lindgren in Osage, Minnesota. As a young man, Floyd worked as a logger in the Ponsford area. They later moved to New Brighton, where he worked construction until his retirement. After his retirement they moved back to the Frazee area. Floyd enjoyed fishing, auction sales, and tinkering on the car. He truly enjoyed his chocolate candies he received weekly from his family. Floyd will be remember for his great sense of humor and will be missed greatly by his family. Floyd is survived by two sons, Ronald (Zelda) Conkiln of Perham, MN; Roger (Sharlene) Conklin of Glendale, AZ; two daughters, Marion (Dick) Crane of Detroit Lakes, MN; Janet (John) Pesonen of Cloquet, MN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Conklin of Gilbert, MN; Alvin (Joann) Conklin of Frazee, MN; one sister, Joann (Robert) Eliasen of Detroit Lakes, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Norma (2010), granddaughter, Brenda Conklin, seven brothers and two sisters.
