Barbara Gunderson

Barbara Gunderson age 75 of Detroit Lakes, MN, formerly of West Fargo, ND, passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 surrounded by her family at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Barbara was born on January 14, 1937 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Vernon and Van Dale (Anderson) Broughton. On November 6, 1955 she married Francis (Bud) E. Gunderson. They lived in West Fargo, ND for twenty years where they raised their five sons. In 1982 they moved to their home on Lake Eunice, near Detroit Lakes, MN. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, crafting, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with her family. Barbara and Francis loved traveling around the United States which included several trips to her favorite destination of Mackinac Island, MI. She had several dogs through the years which she considered to be part of the family. Barbara is survived by her husband, Francis; five sons, Steven (Deb), of West Fargo, ND; Scott (Lori), of Plymouth, MN; Jamie (Becky), of West Fargo, ND; Rick, of West Fargo, ND; and Kelly (Jane), of Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
