Robert J. Landry

Robert J, Landry, 51, Detroit Lakes, MN died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at his residence. Robert was born on July 24, 1961, the son of Ronald and Nancy (Blair) Landry in Virginia, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, graduating from high school in 1980. Robert also received a degree from University of Minnesota Crookston and the Brown Institute. He worked as a news photographer for the Fox Station in Salt Lake City, Utah and for CNN in Los Angeles, California. Robert returned to Detroit Lakes recently, to be closer to his family. Robert is survived by his parents, Ronald (Nancy) Landry of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Jane (John) Munn of Woodbury, MN; brother, Jim (Judy) Landry of Detroit Lakes, MN; special friend, Jena Bregel of Waubun, MN; two aunts and an uncle, Patti Landry of Detroit Lakes, MN; Joanie (Tom) Howe of Ormond, FL; three nieces, Sarah (Dan) Pavel, Katie (Ryan) Brockhaus, Jenna (Bobby) Schaetz and nephew, Jason (Lindsay) Landry, grand niece and nephew, Mila and Tyson Pavel. Robert was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, uncle, Jerry Landry.
