Eleanor G. Bosch

Eleanor G. Bosch, 83, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota. Eleanor was born on November 12, 1928, the daughter of Ronny and Laura (Straight) Tolbert in Mora, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in Pelican Rapids, graduating from high school in 1946. Eleanor was united in marriage to Leo Bosch on December 30, 1946 at St. Leonardchr(39)s Catholic Church in Pelican Rapids. They purchased a farm in rural Detroit Lakes and lived there until moving to St. Paul in 1956. Eleanor and Leo returned to the farm in 1963. She began working at St. Marychr(39)s Hospital as a CNA. Eleanor received her nursing degree in 1972 and accepted a position at Emmanuel Nursing Home. Eleanor continued to work at Emmanuel Nursing Home until retiring in 1990. Eleanor was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was an active volunteer at the church and was involved with the Belles of St. Marys, Holy Rosary Quilters, Bible Study and Christian Mothers. Eleanor was very social and could visit with anyone. She also enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by three daughters, Sylvia (Richard) Shipman of Frazee, MN; Laura (Michael) Weller of Green Bay, WI; Pamela Bosch of Bellingham, WA; two sons, Joe (Joni Biewer) Bosch of Detroit Lakes, MN and Anthony Bosch of Detroit Lakes, MN; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo (2002), daughter, Teresa Schweigart, grandson, Richard Shipman, granddaughter, Stacy Shipman and brother, Chester Tolbert.
