Vienna Anderson, 90, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Cottage, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Vienna and her twin sister, Ailie were born on February 11, 1922, the daughters of Jonas and Fiina (Pirkko) Wart in Squaw Lake, Minnesota. She was raised in the Squaw Lake area. As a young woman in 1945, Vienna went to Seattle, Washington to work for Boeing during World War II. She returned to Minnesota after the war and was united in marriage to Willard Anderson on March 29, 1947 in Littlefork, Minnesota. They made their home in Blackduck before moving to Detroit Lakes in the late forties. Vienna was a stay at home mom until 1965, when she began working at Kwako Drug, which later was named White Drug. She continued to work until retiring in 1985. Vienna enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, dancing and playing cards. She and Willie spent many days fishing together in the summer and winter months. They especially liked to fish for trout and Vienna loved fishing on Pickeral Lake with her grandson, Joe and son-in-law, Larry. Viennachr(39)s family would like to thank the staff at the Madison and the Cottage for the wonderful care their mother and dad received. Vienna is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Lueck of Detroit Lakes, MN; Bonnie (Larry) Mickle of Richfield, MN; grandson, Joseph Mickle; brother, Walter Wart of Salem, OR; sister, Mae From of Cambridge, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Vienna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard (2010), one brother, William Wart, two sisters, Ailie Wart and Lee Barron.
