Leo L. Rabideaux II, 53, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, passed away in the presence of his family Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota. Leo was born April 12, 1959, to Leo and Frances (Peart) Rabideaux in Fargo, ND. He was raised in Fargo and graduated from Shanley High School in 1977. On June 16, 1979 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Stegman in Neche, ND. They made their home in Fargo, ND until 1990 when they moved to rural Detroit Lakes. Leo worked at Rabideaux Construction as a young man. He went on to work at Lakes Homes, Detroit Lakes, MN; Frank Hanson Construction, Detroit Lakes; Team Industries Audubon, and Team Industries in Detroit Lakes, until retiring in 2003 due to his health. Leo enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, and 4 wheeling. He always enjoyed helping others and had a special place in his heart for children. Leo is survived by his wife, Phyllis Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sons, Joseph and Lucas Rabideaux both of Detroit Lakes, MN; his parents, Leo and Frances Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, MN; siblings, Shelia Rabideaux of Audubon, MN; Renee (Tim) Sletmoe of Fargo, ND; Marcia Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, MN; Monica (Jerry) Gerberding of Fargo, ND; Michelle (Frank) Lang of Fargo, ND; Rachelle (Tim) Lautt of Enderlin, ND; Annette Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, MN; Joseph (Tammy) Rabideaux of Barnesville, MN; Collette (Craig) Jungberg of Hixon, ND; Jeanette (Craig) Dickey of Detroit Lakes, MN; Dean (Tracy) Rabideaux of Pelican Rapids, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Clarence and Irene Rabideaux, Ben and Mabel Swenson, and infant niece, Jessica Sletmoe.
