Paul D. Knosalla age 59 of Detroit Lakes, MN died December 12, 2012 at his residence. Paul David Knosalla was born to Alfred and Rebecca (Haire) Knosalla on October 31, 1953 in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Fargo and attended Shanley High School. Paul attended UND and later Moorhead Technical College where he earned an associate degree in carpentry. Paul lived in Fargo, where he worked as an independent carpenter for many years. For the past twenty years he has worked for RCIS as an insurance adjuster. Paul moved to Detroit Lakes in 1998. He was united in marriage to Gail Charlton on April 7, 2000 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Paul loved to golf, fish and spend time working in his vegetable garden. He was an excellent carpenter. He liked to help people andalways made time to do so.Paul also volunteered and served on the board of the Becker County Food Pantry. He also served as an Emmaus Minister and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Rosary Church. Paulchr(39)s greatest treasures in his life were his family, friends and faith. He cherished his family and friends. Paul was always there for anyone in need. He enjoyed his music and was a voracious reader. He had a gentle spirit, smile, and a great sense of humor. He was generous and giving, always putting others before himself. He is survived by his wife, Gail; three brothers-in-law, David (Olivia) Charlton, of Gurnee, IL; Ray (Gloria) Charlton, of Grafton, ND; and Joe (Lori) Charlton, of Vancouver, WA; one sister-in-law, Diane (Jeff) Woll, of Mason, OH; father-in-law, Ray Charlton, of Grafton, ND; two nephews, John (Hailey) Knosalla, of Fargo, ND; and Tom Radeck, of Fargo, ND; two nieces, Amy (Mark) Duchschere, of Fargo, ND; and Paige Radeck, of Fargo, ND; close cousins, Bob (Deb) Buth, Rich (Lisa) Buth, Liz (Bill) Schwankl, Patty (Steve) Halvorson, Rosemary (Pat) Griffin, along with other cousins, aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers; John, Tim, and Mark.
