Peggy Ann Clyatt, 60, of Alpharetta, GA died Friday, January 4, 2013 at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta, GA. She was born June 21, 1952 in Valley City, North Dakota the daughter of Gordon and Marion (Thompson) Michaelson. She moved with her parents to Lake Park, MN in 1958 and graduated from Lake Park High School with the Class of 1970. She moved to Colorado where she met and married Ron Cook in 1971. The couple later divorced. Peg moved to Sun Prairie, WI in 1973 and to Janesville, WI in 1974. She began working as a bookkeeper at Freedom Plastics where she worked her way to V.P., Treasurer, and served on the Board of Directors. In 1998, she moved to Ft. Pierce, FL and assumed the responsibility of General Manager of that branch for Freedom Plastics. She sold her interest in the company after 25 years of service in 2003. Peggy married John Clyatt October 16, 1999 in Cashiers, NC at the High Hampton Country Club. The couple continued to live in Ft. Pierce, FL until moving to Cashiers in the fall of 2003. The couple operated Black Bear Furniture from 2004 - 2009. Peggy then worked for Bank of America in Highlands, NC from 2009 - 20011. In 2011, they moved to Atlanta, GA where Peggy was employed by Threewill Consulting. Peg enjoyed music, sports and loved to shop. She had a very kind nature and positive outlook on life. She always liked to dance and have fun. Peggy was a dedicated mother & grandmother and spared nothing to ensure her family's success. She is survived by her husband John Clyatt of Alpharetta, GA; mother, Marion Michaelson of Detroit Lakes, MN; son, Chad (and Jen) Cook of Alpharetta, GA; step daughters, Brittany Hester of Ft. Pierce, FL, Shay Stepp of Greensville, SC; step son, Chase Clyatt of Ft. Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Kendall Cook; step grandchildren, Emily Hester, Jake Hester, Luke Hester, Jake Stepp, Reagan Muncus; sister, Marlene (and Marlin) Larson of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Rollie Michaelson of Apple Valley, MN, Gene (and Rita) Michaelson of Owatonna, MN, Rich (and Nora) Michaelson of Shoreview, MN, Bob (and Ann) Michaelson of Pequot Lakes, MN and several nieces and nephews.
