Kathryn L. Muench age 60 of rural Frazee, MN died unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2013 at her residence. Kathryn Louise Muench was born on October 1, 1952 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Carl and Marie Walberg Lundberg. She grew up and received her education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1971. On January 8, 1972 she was united in marriage to Jody Muench in Detroit Lakes. Kathy owned and operated the Lady Slipper Limousine Service in Detroit Lakes for several years and later worked as a corrections officer for the Becker County Sheriff's Department for 15 years. Kathy was a loving and faithful Mother and Wife. She was a fun loving person with a great sense of humor. She was an extraordinary gardener, who was very skilled in growing beautiful flowers. She also loved her Great Pyrenees dogs. One of her favorite things to do was going to rummage sales, flea markets, and antique shops in search of a good bargain. She is survived by her husband, Jody; one daughter, Megan Muench, of Frazee, MN; one son, Jon Gustovson, of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Alexis and Cole Gustovson; her mother, Marie Lundberg, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one brother, Roger (Karen) Lundberg, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sisters, Jan (Ron) Anderson, of Rochert, MN; and Lois (George) Welsch, of Tucson, AZ; one sister in law, Betty (Lyle) Danielson, of Long Prairie, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Lundberg and her brother Richard Lundberg.
